This Privacy Policy explains what information Pin Pretty Ideas (pinprettyideas.com, “we,” “us,” “our”) collects when you visit, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect as little as possible. If you have a question, please reach us through our Contact page.
1. Who We Are
Pin Pretty Ideas is a beauty blog about nail ideas, hair ideas, makeup and beauty tips. It is owned and operated by Jessica Hayes and serves readers primarily in the United States. For data protection laws such as the GDPR, we are the data controller for information collected through this site.
2. Information We Collect
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting server records basic technical data: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, referring site, and date and time of visit. This keeps the site secure, fast and working properly.
Information you give us.
- Contact form: your name, email address, subject and message, used only to reply to you.
- Comments (if enabled): name, email, website (optional), comment text and IP address for spam filtering.
We do not currently offer a newsletter. If we add one, this policy will be updated before any signup form goes live. We do not collect sensitive personal information such as health, financial or government ID data.
3. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. Here is what this site uses today:

You can view, delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may break parts of the site.
4. Analytics
We use Google Analytics to see aggregate trends, such as how many people visit, which posts they read and what devices they use. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes this data on Google’s systems. It does not tell us who you are. 5. Advertising
Pin Pretty Ideas does not currently display ads, and no advertising cookies are set on this site.
We may add advertising in the future to help keep the site free to read. Before that happens, we will update this policy to name the ad provider, explain what data it collects, and add opt-out options, including a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link for U.S. readers.
6. Affiliate Links
Pin Pretty Ideas does not currently use affiliate links. We may join affiliate programs, such as Amazon Associates, in the future. If we do, retailers may set a cookie to credit the referral, and we would receive only summary sales data, never your name, address or payment details. This policy and our Disclaimer will be updated first.
7. Pinterest and Social Media
Share buttons, “Pin It” buttons and embedded pins may connect to Pinterest or other platforms. When you interact with them, that platform’s privacy policy applies.
8. How We Use Your Information

We do not sell or share your personal information.
9. Your Rights (EEA, UK and Switzerland)
You can request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of your personal data, and you can object to or restrict processing. Where we rely on consent (such as for analytics cookies), you can withdraw it at any time. Our legal bases are consent, legitimate interests (site security and operation, replying to messages) and legal obligations. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
10. Your Rights (U.S. State Privacy Laws)
If you live in California or another U.S. state with a consumer privacy law, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, to access, correct or delete it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing for targeted advertising.
We do not currently sell or share personal information, or use it for targeted advertising. If that changes, we will update this policy and add a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link before it takes effect. We honor Global Privacy Control signals, and you will never be treated differently for using these rights.
11. How Long We Keep Data
- Contact form messages: as long as needed to handle your request, then deleted periodically
- Comments: for as long as the comment is published
- Analytics: according to the data retention setting in Google Analytics
- Server logs: short-term, as set by our host
12. Children’s Privacy
Pin Pretty Ideas is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 (or under 16 where local law requires). If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Security
The site uses HTTPS encryption, and we keep WordPress, the theme and plugins up to date. No website is completely secure, but we limit what we collect so there is little to expose.
14. Links to Other Websites
Our posts may link to brands, retailers, creators and other sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please review their policies.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our tools or the law change. The effective date at the top will always show the latest version.

For any privacy question or request, use our Contact page and choose the subject “Privacy Request.” We respond within 30 days, or sooner where the law requires.
