About Us
Hi, I’m Jessica Hayes. Welcome to Pin Pretty Ideas.
If you’ve ever saved a gorgeous manicure or a dreamy hairstyle and thought, “Someday,” this little corner of the internet is for you. Pin Pretty Ideas is where saved ideas finally get tried.

It Started with a Board Called “Someday”
A few years ago, I had a Pinterest board named “Someday.” It held 437 pins. Glossy French tips, milky pink nails, messy braided buns, soft brown smoky eyes, glass-skin routines. I added to it almost every night, and I had tried exactly none of it.
In my head, those looks belonged to other people. People with steadier hands, better hair, more time and a bigger budget. I was the friend with a quick ponytail and bare nails, scrolling and saving and quietly wishing.
Then, the night before my best friend’s wedding, my salon appointment fell through. At midnight, with a box of bobby pins, a borrowed curling wand and my phone propped against the bathroom mirror, I opened “Someday” and picked one pin: a low braided bun with face-framing curls.
It took me four tries and an embarrassing number of pins. It wasn’t perfect. But the next day, three different people asked who had done my hair, and I caught myself smiling at my own reflection in a way I hadn’t in years.
That was the moment I understood something I’d been missing all along: pretty isn’t something you save for later. It’s something you try, one pin at a time. I started trying one saved idea every week, then writing down what worked, what didn’t and the shortcuts nobody mentions. Pin Pretty Ideas grew out of those notes.

A Few Things About Me
- My “Someday” board still exists. It’s down to 112 pins, and I’m proud of every one I’ve crossed off.
- I own more shades of nude-pink polish than I will ever admit in public.
- I can do a French braid with my eyes closed now. It took about six months of very questionable Tuesdays.
- My comfort ritual is a Sunday-night manicure with a cup of chamomile tea and a cozy show in the background.
- My favorite beauty rule to break: “Your nails should always match your outfit.”
